5 Tours to do with Dad for Father's Day

Father's Day is week! I have very good memories of my Dad and love helping my kids celebrate theirs. One way we like to show him we care is by doing something that he likes so we can create a memory together (I mean that is why we are celebrating Father's Day right?). Here are 5 tours you can take Dad on for Father's Day:

  1. El Pomar Carriage Museum- Don't let the name fool you; it has tons of race cars from the Pikes Peak Hill Climb too. Its a fun place to check out cars, carriages, and history. Their new addition should be opening soon too. Afterwords go for a walk together around the lake at the Broadmoor or go for lunch.

  2. Enjoy the world of sports at Olympic Train Center (OTC)- Watch some of the best athletes in the world train. Then treat Dad to something in the gift shop.
  3. Fire Station Tour- Okay, so this one may be more inspired by my little boys but I think a lot of the older "boys" still like going to check out all the equipment and trucks too. Plus right now is the perfect time to go over fire safety rules and your escape plan. Be prepared!
  4. Go behind the scenes at Brunswick Zone XL- See how the pin setter looks on the other side then  play laser tag or a game of bowling. Kids bowl free (plus shoes) and there are always coupons (especially if you sign up for their emails).
5.  Get back to nature with a tour of Garden of the Gods. There are tons of trails, lots of fun photo opportunities, and some good picnic spots. Want to try hiking somewhere else? Colorado Hiking has all kinds of ideas for you.
What are you doing for your Dad this Sunday?
Share it! :)
