Where in the World with Paper Airplanes

When we studied airplanes, I knew we needed to make paper airplanes!  So we played Where in the World will we go today with paper airplanes.

What you will need:

  • Paper
  • Some sort of map (I had a world map puzzle that we did together first)

Directions:
1. Fold your airplane.  I brought out fancy paper so our airplanes were bigger and prettier than normal ones that we make.  For directions on a simple paper airplane, check out this site.
2. Lay your map at one side of the room and set your take off zone on the other side (far enough that you can't just pick where you go but close enough it'll land on the map).
3. See where you land.  We wrote down at least 2 of the places the nose or tail of our airplanes landed in our homemade passports than briefly learned about that location.

Its fun to see where you end up and the kids learn a little about geography and new places. You could also attached a Superhero (sticker, drawing) to the paper airplane and see where they needed to save the day.
