Breakfast Runway!

Breakfast Runway!

What you will need:
White butcher paper or several white pieces of paper
Marker
Toy planes
Tape (masking and scotch)
Breakfast food

Directions:
1. I wanted to inspire excitement right when my kids woke up and came downstairs this week so I created this runway activity.  First you need butcher paper or several white pieces of paper taped together (White paper stands out the best instead of a cement color). I tape one end so it goes under the table then the other end (I like masking tape best for this project).  Then I use clear tape to secure some the edges so my baby can't just rip it off really easy.

2. Draw a road line down the middle of the paper and some border lines so it looks like a runway.  If you really want to go for it, you can add some Christmas lights or some glow sticks around the edges for the runway feel in the dark.  Then just line up lots of toy planes (and helicopters, etc) all over the place.
3. I also put our passports on the table, a book, and a surprise cereal (we never have sugar cereal).  The kids played, ate, played, read and played some more.  It worked great.
